Radsport: Alberto Contador wird erst Anfang August angehört / Fiasko für den Radsport

Wie schwer der Kampf gegen das weltweite Doping ist, bekommt zur Zeit der Radsport-Weltverband zu spüren. Der Spanier Alberto Contador, der gerade den Giro d´Italia gewann, war bei der letzten Tour de France auf Clenbuterol positiv getestet worden. Zu seiner Verteidigung erklärte der Profi, er habe ein verseuchtes Steak gegessen und kam mit dieser Behauptung beim spanischen Radsportverband durch. Im Zweifel für den Angeklagten. Nicht auszudenken, wenn Contador die Tour de France gewinnt und danach vom CAS schuldig gesporchen würde. Der Radsport würde endgültig jegliche Glaubwürdigkeit verlieren und wohl weitere Sponsoren verlieren - zu recht. Es droht eine ganze Sportart unter zu gehen. Das wäre schade, denn der faszinierende Kampf Mann gegen Mann macht den Radsport eigentlich zu einer der attraktivsten Sportarten der Welt. Nur leider die Attraktivität stark, wenn nicht mit gleichen Mitteln gekämpft wird.
