Mit dem vierten Sieg in Folge hat sich der VfL Bochum im erweiterten Kreis der Aufstiegskandidaten zurückgemeldet. Die Bochumer gewannen das Ruhrderby in Duisburg 1:0. Nach dem Spielausfall in Aue verpassten damit die Duisburger die Rückkehr auf die Aufstiegsplätze. Bochum ist nun auf Platz acht. Auf den Relegationsplatz fehlen nur noch 3 Punkte.
