U21-EM: Weißrussland holt Bronze
Die Vormachtstellung der Spanier in der Fußballwelt könnte noch eine Weile andeutern. Die U21-Auswahl bezwang die Schweizer im Finale der U21-EM in Dänemark 2:0. In einem über lange Zeit sehr statischen Fußballspiel gingen die Iberer in der 41. Minute durch Ander Herrera in Führung. Die Schweizer erhöhten erst in der Schlussphase den Druck und hatten mehrere gute Ausgleichschancen. In diese Druckphase hinein fiel dann überraschend das 2:0 für die Spanier (Tiago, 81.)
Das Spiel um Bronze gewann heute Nachmittag Weißrussland gegen die Tschechische Republik 1:0. Das Tor fiel in der 88. Minute durch Egor Filipenko, der beim weißrussischen Meister BATE Borisow spielt.

U17-WM: Holland fährt ohne Sieg nach Hause
Am dritten Spieltag der Gruppe A verloren die Niederländer gegen Mexiko 2:3 und verabschieden sich mit einem einzigen Punkt von der WM. Neben Mexiko hat sich auch der Kongo dank eines 1:1 gegen Nordkorea für das Achtelfinale qualifiziert. Die Asiaten haben als Dritter mit nur 2 Punkten keine Chance mehr, zu den besten 4 Drittplatzierten zu gehören.
Die Gruppe B haben die Japaner ohne Niederlage überstanden. Am 3. Spieltag gewannen die Asiaten gegen Argentinien 3:1. Die Gouchos müssen als Dritter noch um die Teilnahme am Achtelfinale zittern. Das hat Frankreich sicher. Der Nachwuchs unseres Nachbarn kam aber überraschend gegen Schlusslicht Jamaika über ein 1:1 nicht hinaus und verpasste so den Gruppensieg.
