In einem Spiel, in dem die Deutschen meist die bessere Mannschaft waren, traf Alex Danson für England. Im anderen Relegationsspiel trennten sich China und Australien 2:2. Die Deutschen müssen nun gegen China gewinnen, um wenigstens noch Vorletzter zu werden. Das würde den Deutschen die Chance auf eine Wildcard für die kommende Trophy geben. Das Schlusslicht steigt direkt in die Champions Challenge ab.
Die Finalrunde begann mit zwei Remis. Argentinien und Südkorea trennten sich 1:1, zwischen Gastgeber Niederlande und Neuseeland fielen keine Tore.
